Toby Beauchamp is a Ph.D. Candidate in Cultural Studies at University of California, Davis. His research interests include feminist, queer and transgender theory, disability studies, and technologies of the body. His current project investigates the ways that surveillance practices have been deployed in relation to transgender populations, as well as how gender-nonconforming bodies might disrupt those practices.
